The Asiatica Museum

Founded in 1999, the Asiatica Museum is an invitation to discover Asian art in the center .of a fascinating environment where there is a sweet oriental scent. The gallery presents works that are more than 3,000 years old by geographical provinces.

In order to better explain to the visitor the exhibitions, fact sheets are used to back them up, searchable and easy to understand. In this way, you will be able to take all your time to cultivate and appreciate Asian art.

The Asiatica Museum has among other things a huge library of more than 2,000 books encouraging readers to read books ranging from Tibet, Nepal, India and Asia. Most archives bring together collections displaying traditions, crafts, Buddhism and Hinduism ... A true empire of cultures and civilizations!

As soon as the summer has come and the children are on holiday, you can take them to the workshops of the Asiatica Museum, specially dedicated to children, an excellent opportunity to awaken their curiosity and their inventiveness by drawing, creating masks or jewels.

This vestige of Oriental Art will bring you to the experiences and customs of different Asian civilizations through the preservation and enhancement of the private works of Michel Postel, the main founder of the site.

The Asiatica Museum is located in the center of the city of Biarritz. With a team of scholars and researchers, the Biarrot Michel Postel devoted himself to the creation of a space giving an important place to the collections of Indian, Tibetan, Chinese and Nepali objects.
